Umar is a Software Engineer based in Alloy’s Washington D.C. office.
Previously an aspiring policy wonk, Umar got a taste of computer science at the tail end of his undergraduate degree and hasn’t looked back since. Umar previously worked at Accenture, where he helped Fortune 500 companies build scalable and maintainable software. He hopes to combine his policy interests with his engineering experience to build software that improves societal wellbeing.
Originally from central Iowa, Umar studied International Relations and Economics at Claremont McKenna College. In his free time, he likes to read books, play board games, and learn to cook.
