Susanna Supalla

Staff Data Scientist

“I've never been to New Zealand before. But one of my role models, Xena, the warrior princess, comes from there.” — Madeleine Albright

Susanna is a Staff Data Scientist based in Alloy’s DC office.

She began her career in 2005 as an in-kind contribution from EMILY’s List to the North Carolina Democratic Party, where she fundraised to successfully maintain the Democrats’ majority in the statehouse. Susanna spent the next 4 years moving 5 times to work on campaigns all over North Carolina and Virginia. She later joined the data science team at BlueLabs, where she built predictive models, designed experiments, and implemented surveys for clients ranging from Democratic campaigns and PACs to trade associations and nonprofits. Most recently, Susanna worked at Tuple Health, conducting Medicare claims analysis for oncology practices and healthcare systems to better understand their patients’ journeys and identify opportunities for care quality improvement interventions.

Susanna earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of Rochester and a BA in Political Science and Computer Science from Wellesley College. She lives with her cat Tuna Fey and has already picked names for Tuna’s future cat sisters, Amy Pawler and Meowa Rudolph.
